James and Linda Wood

James and Linda
James and Linda first met at Charters School in Sunningdale when they were 14.

They dated briefly (from what we can guess, about 6 months) and then went their separate ways James to Study A-Levels and on to University and Linda to Work.

At the end of 2001/early 2002, Linda contacted James through Friends Reunited and they kept in touch as friends. Then at the end of 2002 Linda became single and in August 2003 James and Linda became a couple again. Which meant that off and on they had been seeing each other for close to 13 years.

Although this is a bit of a crap statistic as they did not see each other for 12 of those years! - just goes to show that Benjamin Disraeli was correct when he said 'There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics'

In February 2004 they travelled to New York where they got engaged on Liberty Island (with the Statue of Liberty looking over them) in the snow. James cried like a big girl and got a wet and cold knee from the snow. Linda nearly got frost bite from not wearing her gloves so she could look at the ring. Amazingly James had not only managed to buy a ring that Linda liked (White gold and Diamonds) but then managed to get the size correct!

They decided on a big, white, summer wedding which meant planning and so the date was set for 3 July 2004. Information on which can be found here

After a Honeymoon in Mexico, they returned and soon after found out that they were pregnant. (Only a man would say that, as he does not go through the pain)

James and Linda spent the next 9ish months trying to decide on names for Baby Wood, known as either Albert, Munchkin or 'your child', depending on the ability for Linda to eat, cope with the smell of coffee or be able to sit comfortably.

 Oskar

Oskar arrived at the end of March 2005 (1 day late) after a long labor and a lot of waiting. More of Oskar can be found here

James and Linda decided to have a second child in 2006. The name situation didn't really happen this time as they just were not really jumping out, so it was a case of let the baby turn up and see what he/she looks like.

Tomas arrived early March 2007 (about 3 days late) after a much better labor and a great greek midwife that looked like Britney Spears (before her hair cut!). More of Tomas can be found here
